In today's world, it has become very common for new mothers and fathers to want to feed their babies only the freshest, most healthy foods. Not that are not some great brands of baby foods available today, but there is just something about preparing your child's food right in your own kitchen and then you are absolutely certain what they will be eating.
The hardest thing about making fresh baby food at home is making sure you get the consistency right. For babies six to nine months or so that don't yet have teeth, the consistency must be well pureed. When they begin getting teeth, they are ready for foods that may have small bits and pieces, but not chunky or solid.
The best way to ensure that you get the baby food just right is to get a food processor that is good for making it. You may not need a large processor that does all of the fancy things, but it needs to have at least a few different settings so that you can graduate the food from completely mushy to little bits as they get older.
It's easy to go to a site like Luxury of the Pharaohs or others and compare different types of food processors that are great for making baby food and maybe even helping you out with the grown up food too!
